David has thoroughly enjoyed working diligently to serve West Kelowna residents over the last 4 years and would be honoured to continue to serve you as a Councillor. David would like to help steer our municipal ship through completion AND implementation of 14 major plans - 7 have been completed but not implemented - ensuring our municipal ship is charting the best course. Waterfront Develop a Waterfront Acquisition Strategy to obtain public waterfront access to Okanagan Lake and related public amenities through a combination of land acquisition, parkland dedication and negotiations with waterfront developers. Lakeview Village Support and promote the development of Lakeview Village to create a vibrant, mixed use village centre, attracting people via pedestrian and alternative transportation. Urgent Care Centre Support Interior Health Authority and the Province to provide an urgent care centre for the community. Rose Valley School Site Assist and promote the development of a new elementary school and community facility on land already slated for a new school in Rose Valley. Highway 97 Couplet Replace the restrictive couplet with a pedestrian- friendly Main Street and a two-way Dobbin Road through Westbank Centre. Gellatly Bay Corridor Complete the Gellatly Bay Corridor project, finishing the improvements and enhancements all the way to Boucherie Road.
